On Fundamental Solutions in Clifford Analysis

Euclidean Clifford analysis is a higher dimensional function theory offering a refinement of classical harmonic analysis. The theory is centred around the concept of monogenic functions, which constitute the kernel of a first order vector valued, rotation invariant, differential operator ∂ called the Dirac operator, which factorizes the Laplacian. More recently, Hermitean Clifford analysis has ...

Fundamental Solutions and Harmonic Analysis on Nilpotent Groups

Our purpose here is to announce results in harmonic analysis related to a large class of hypoelliptic operators on arbitrary simply-connected nilpotent Lie groups. We find the asymptotic development of their fundamental solutions, both locally and at infinity, and study corresponding Riesz transforms and analogues of the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev theorem for fractional integration. Details will ...

On Fundamental Solutions of Generalized Schrödinger Operators

We consider the generalized Schrr odinger operator ? + where is a nonnegative Radon measure in R n , n 3. Assuming that satisses certain scale-invariant Kato condition and doubling condition, we establish the following bounds for the fundamental solution of ? + in R n : where d(x; y;) is the distance function for the modiied Agmon metric m(x;)dx 2 associated with. We also study the boundedness ...

Harmonic analysis on Heisenberg-Clifford Lie supergroups

We define a Fourier transform and a convolution product for functions and distributions on Heisenberg–Clifford Lie supergroups. The Fourier transform exchanges the convolution and a pointwise product, and is an intertwining operator for the left regular representation. We generalize various classical theorems, including the Paley–Wiener–Schwartz theorem, and define a convolution Banach algebra.

Preconditioners and Fundamental Solutions

1. Introduction. The topic of this Licentiate thesis is the iterative solution of large, sparse systems of equations originating from discretizations of partial differential equations (PDEs). Our approach is to construct a preconditioner that is a truncated discrete convolution operator. The kernel is a fundamental solution, or an approximation of one. Our method generalizes to linear systems w...
